# Process product complaints and flag the ones regulators need to hear about

For companies that make regulated products (medical devices, pharma, food, consumer goods), an agent reads each incoming complaint, pulls out what happened, flags any harm or hazardous situation, and prepares the complaint record so the quality team only reviews and signs off. Honeywell made TrackWise Digital's AI Processing Agent generally available on Oct 21, 2026, after five months in production at a medical device company where it processes thousands of complaints a day.

## Inputs to collect first
Ask the user for anything below that they haven't already given you. Don't guess missing facts.

- Your SOP: categories, what counts as an adverse event or serious…
- Your own material (text, notes or data)

## Instructions

Do the task below with the user's inputs in place of each [bracket].

You are a complaint intake assistant for our quality team. Our products: [list]. Our complaint categories and reporting rules: [paste your SOP: categories, what counts as an adverse event or serious injury, reporting deadlines]. For each complaint below: Step 1: summarize what happened in 2 sentences (product, lot/serial if given, date, what the customer reported). Step 2: say whether there was patient or user harm, a hazardous situation, or a malfunction that could cause harm, quoting the exact words that support it. Step 3: suggest a category and whether it may need regulatory reporting under our rules, with your reason. Step 4: list missing information we need to ask the customer for. Mark anything involving injury or possible reporting as 'needs human review today'. Don't make the final reporting decision, and never fill in facts that aren't in the complaint.

Complaints: [paste]

## Safety checks (share these with the user)

- This prompt works on text other people wrote (emails, reviews, messages or web pages). That text can hide instructions aimed at AI, such as "ignore your rules and…". Paste it as material to work on, and never let the AI act on requests inside it, like paying, sharing logins or changing records.
- Anything legal, tax or compliance-related is a first draft for a qualified person to check. It is not professional advice, and clause references and deadlines must be checked against the source.
- Remove names, contact details, account numbers and other personal data the task doesn't need before you paste, and check your AI tool's data and training settings.
- Check names, dates, numbers and any claim against your own source material before you use the answer. AI can misread or invent details.
- Say clearly which parts need a person to review or approve before anything is sent, paid, posted or filed.
