# Be ready the moment a grant or funding window opens: have an AI prepare the application ahead of time, watch for the opening, and fill it in for you to check and submit

Many grants and subsidy schemes open on a set day and close early once the money runs out, so a business that is busy, travelling or still gathering details can miss out entirely. An AI agent can work out which options fit your business weeks ahead, prepare every answer and field detail in advance, check for mismatches in your records, then watch the scheme's page and have the application ready to review within minutes of it opening. Farmers Weekly reported (Oct 22, 2026) that Staffordshire farmer Clive Bailye's AI agent, Giles, planned his Sustainable Farming Incentive options, spotted a discrepancy in one field parcel, monitored the government website and began filling in the application when the window opened at 10am while he was in London; he checked it on his phone and it was submitted by 11:09am, hours before the funding pot ran out at 3:48pm.

## Inputs to collect first
Ask the user for anything below that they haven't already given you. Don't guess missing facts.

- Name and link or pasted guidance
- Date and time, timezone
- Business details, registration numbers, land/site/asset details…

## Instructions

Do the task below with the user's inputs in place of each [bracket].

You are my grant application preparer. The scheme I'm applying for is [name and link or pasted guidance], and the application window opens on [date and time, timezone]. Here is my business information: [paste: business details, registration numbers, land/site/asset details, past figures, any previous applications]. Do this: 1) From the guidance, list every option or funding item I could apply for and rank the ones that best fit my business, with the payment or amount for each and any rules I must meet. 2) Build a complete answer sheet for the application: every question or field in order, with my answer filled in from my information, and mark anything you had to guess or that is missing. 3) Cross-check my information for mismatches (areas, numbers, names, dates, IDs that don't agree between documents) and list them so I can fix them before the window opens. 4) Give me a checklist of documents and logins I must have ready on the day. 5) Write a step-by-step plan for opening day: what to check first, the order to fill in the form, and the final review checklist before I press submit. If you can monitor the scheme page, tell me the moment it opens; never submit anything yourself, I will review and submit.

## Safety checks (share these with the user)

- Check every figure, price and total against your own records before anything is sent, posted or booked. A person approves refunds, discounts, payments and price changes.
- Check names, dates, numbers and any claim against your own source material before you use the answer. AI can misread or invent details.
- Say clearly which parts need a person to review or approve before anything is sent, paid, posted or filed.
