# Set up missed-call text-back: a voicemail greeting, an instant text and two follow-ups that turn missed calls into bookings

When a small business can't pick up, many callers simply ring the next company. A missed-call text-back sends a short text right after the missed call so the conversation continues by message. This prompt writes the voicemail greeting, the instant text and follow-ups for your business type, with opt-out wording and the details to collect.

## Inputs to collect first
Ask the user for anything below that they haven't already given you. Don't guess missing facts.

- Name, type, area
- Link / 'reply with a time'
- Hours
- Link
- E.g. gas smell: leave the building and call the gas utility…

## Instructions

Do the task below with the user's inputs in place of each [bracket].

Write my missed-call text-back set. Business: [name, type, area], booking link or way to book: [link / 'reply with a time'], hours: [hours]. Write: 1) a voicemail greeting under 20 seconds, in my voice, saying we'll text them right away; 2) the instant text sent within a minute of a missed call (under 300 characters): business name, sorry we missed you, ask what they need and invite them to reply or book at [link], plus 'Reply STOP to opt out'; 3) a follow-up text 2 hours later if no reply and one the next morning, each different and shorter; 4) the 3 details to collect by text before I call back (for my type of business), asked one at a time; 5) a version for after-hours calls that sets an honest expectation for when we'll reply; 6) an emergency line, if relevant to my business, telling people what to do for urgent issues [e.g. gas smell: leave the building and call the gas utility; medical: call 911]. Keep the tone warm and local. Don't promise prices or arrival times. Note: only text people who called us, and check your local texting rules (consent and opt-out) before you switch it on.

## Safety checks (share these with the user)

- Check every figure, price and total against your own records before anything is sent, posted or booked. A person approves refunds, discounts, payments and price changes.
- Read and edit the draft before it reaches a customer or goes public. If you later automate this prompt, start with "draft and notify me", not "send automatically".
- Check names, dates, numbers and any claim against your own source material before you use the answer. AI can misread or invent details.
- Say clearly which parts need a person to review or approve before anything is sent, paid, posted or filed.
