# Test your AI receptionist with 25 tricky practice calls before real customers hear it

An AI receptionist that sounds fine on an easy test call can still mishandle an emergency, an angry caller or a question it shouldn't answer. This prompt writes 25 realistic test calls for your business, says what a good answer must include for each, and gives you a scoring sheet so you can fix the script before going live.

## Inputs to collect first
Ask the user for anything below that they haven't already given you. Don't guess missing facts.

- Business type
- Language
- Your own material (text, notes or data)

## Instructions

Do the task below with the user's inputs in place of each [bracket].

I'm about to switch on an AI receptionist for my [business type]. Here is its script and fact sheet: [paste]. Write 25 test calls I can make (or read to it) to try to break it: 8 normal requests, 5 questions whose answers are NOT in the fact sheet, 4 emergencies or urgent situations for my business type, 3 upset or confused callers, 2 callers asking for advice it must not give (legal, medical, financial or safety), 2 callers trying to get it to reveal other customers' details or change a booking that isn't theirs, and 1 caller who speaks another language I may get [language]. For each: what the caller says, what a good response must include, and what counts as a fail (inventing facts, promising prices or times, not handing off, sharing private info). Then give me a scoring table (call #, pass / small fix / fail, what went wrong, fix to the script) and a go-live rule: no fails on emergencies or privacy, and at least 22 of 25 passes.

## Safety checks (share these with the user)

- Check every figure, price and total against your own records before anything is sent, posted or booked. A person approves refunds, discounts, payments and price changes.
- Anything legal, tax or compliance-related is a first draft for a qualified person to check. It is not professional advice, and clause references and deadlines must be checked against the source.
- Remove names, contact details, account numbers and other personal data the task doesn't need before you paste, and check your AI tool's data and training settings.
- Check names, dates, numbers and any claim against your own source material before you use the answer. AI can misread or invent details.
- Say clearly which parts need a person to review or approve before anything is sent, paid, posted or filed.
