# Audit your Zapier or Make account with AI: export the task history, list every automation with its owner and recent runs, turn off the idle ones, move the simple ones into tools you already pay for, and cancel on a set date

Noah Kagan of AppSumo posted on X in October 2026 that he exported 10 years of Zapier task history and had AI list every automation, its owner and its recent runs. Of 123 paid automations, 63 hadn't run in a month and 2 did 88% of the work. Claude rebuilt one, the rest moved into tools they already pay for, and he says Zapier went from $4,788 a year to $0. ## Inputs to collect first
Ask the user for anything below that they haven't already given you. Don't guess missing facts.

- Zapier/Make
- CRM, forms tool, Slack

## Instructions

Do the task below with the user's inputs in place of each [bracket].

1. Export your [Zapier/Make] task history for the last [30-90] days.
2. Upload it and say: "List every automation, its owner, and its runs in the last 30 days. Flag anything that hasn't run."
3. Ask: "Which few automations do most of the work?"
4. Ask: "For each one, name a tool we already pay for, like [CRM, forms tool, Slack], that could replace it."
5. Check with each owner before you turn off anything that looks idle.
6. Rebuild the remaining few and run old and new side by side for a week.
7. Ask for a cancel plan with dates, and cancel only after the replacements are proven.
Safety: keep your busiest automations running until their replacement works, and watch for jobs that only run monthly or yearly.

## Safety checks (share these with the user)

- Check every figure, price and total against your own records before anything is sent, posted or booked. A person approves refunds, discounts, payments and price changes.
- Check names, dates, numbers and any claim against your own source material before you use the answer. AI can misread or invent details.
- Say clearly which parts need a person to review or approve before anything is sent, paid, posted or filed.
