# Move your scheduled server jobs to a bot routine: list what runs and when, move one job at a time, run old and new side by side for a week, get a daily report and failure alerts, then cancel the server

Praveen, an Amazon seller, posted on X in October 2026 that he used to pay for a $14 a month AWS server to run scheduled jobs: booking Amazon shipments and building daily sales reports. Grok Bot has its own computer, so he moved both jobs there as routines and cancelled the server. He says it already pays for itself. Self-reported. Before you cancel a server, make sure every job it ran has moved and works, and keep a copy of your scripts and data.

## Inputs to collect first
Ask the user for anything below that they haven't already given you. Don't guess missing facts.

- Amazon

## Instructions

Do the task below with the user's inputs in place of each [bracket].

1. List every scheduled job your server runs and what time it runs.
2. Pick one job and say: "Every morning at [7], pull yesterday's [Amazon] sales and send me a short report: units, revenue and top 5 products."
3. For bookings, add: "Then book any shipments on my schedule and tell me if a booking fails."
4. Run the old server job and the new routine side by side for a week and compare results.
5. Move the next job only when the first one has run clean.
6. Back up your scripts and data, then cancel the server.
Safety: keep backups, and have the bot tell you about every failed run instead of retrying silently.

## Safety checks (share these with the user)

- Check every figure, price and total against your own records before anything is sent, posted or booked. A person approves refunds, discounts, payments and price changes.
- Read and edit the draft before it reaches a customer or goes public. If you later automate this prompt, start with "draft and notify me", not "send automatically".
- Check names, dates, numbers and any claim against your own source material before you use the answer. AI can misread or invent details.
- Say clearly which parts need a person to review or approve before anything is sent, paid, posted or filed.
