# Fix dark or crooked listing photos before they cost you another price cut: have an AI straighten verticals and even out the light in your listing photos, while keeping the home exactly as it is

In a slow market, the photos are the first thing a buyer sees, and a dark or crooked shot can make a home look worse than it is. On Nov 1, 2026, X user @MarsHomestead posted about PhotoFix, a Grok Bot they made to fix listing photos so the light and angles look their best, pitched at sellers in an area where motivated sellers keep dropping their price, with a before and after of a vacation home photo. ## Inputs to collect first
Ask the user for anything below that they haven't already given you. Don't guess missing facts.

- The material the task is about (pasted text, notes or data)

## Instructions

Do the task below with the user's inputs in place of each [bracket].

1. Upload one listing photo at a time and say: "Edit this real estate photo for a listing. Only: straighten the vertical lines and level the horizon, brighten dark areas and balance the window light, correct the colour so walls look their true colour, and sharpen slightly. Do NOT add, remove or change anything in the scene: no removing furniture, cords, marks, poles or damage, no changing the sky, lawn or view."
2. Compare the result side by side with the original. Reject any version where something in the room changed, even something small.
3. Ask: "Of these [10-25] photos, which 5 should lead the listing, and in what order, so a buyer understands the layout? Which ones are too dark, blurry or repetitive to use even after editing?"
4. Keep the originals, and check your MLS or portal rules on edited photos; disclose any virtual staging separately.
5. If a photo can't be saved by editing, add it to a reshoot list with the time of day the light is best in that room.

## Safety checks (share these with the user)

- Check every figure, price and total against your own records before anything is sent, posted or booked. A person approves refunds, discounts, payments and price changes.
- Check names, dates, numbers and any claim against your own source material before you use the answer. AI can misread or invent details.
- Say clearly which parts need a person to review or approve before anything is sent, paid, posted or filed.
