Its launch page (for a Nov 10, 2026 webinar adding an upgraded MCP, a mobile app and Slack/Teams) shows three examples: creating a work order by voice and sending a sink leak to the preferred plumber, answering an owner about their property mid-conversation, and a technician working open jobs by voice while driving. Similar connectors are appearing for other property software, so check what yours offers. Use when the user wants help with maintenance work orders and owner updates from your ai assistant (operations) for a small business."

# Run rental maintenance by just asking: connect your maintenance software to Claude so you can create a work order by voice, answer an owner's 'what's happening at my property?' on the spot, and check open jobs hands-free

Property managers get maintenance questions while away from the desk: a leak report, an owner asking about their unit, a tech in the van. Latchel, an AI maintenance and call-centre platform for residential property managers, says its Latchel MCP connector for Claude is available today and links your AI assistant to your work orders, tasks, properties and residents so it can answer questions and act on them.

## Inputs to collect first
Ask the user for anything below that they haven't already given you. Don't guess missing facts.

- Property
- Unit

## Instructions

Do the task below with the user's inputs in place of each [bracket].

1. Check whether your maintenance or property management software offers an MCP connector or AI assistant integration (for example, the Latchel connector for Claude). Have an admin turn it on with the least access needed.
2. Write your house rules in a short note the assistant always sees: what counts as an emergency, your preferred vendor for each trade, spending limits that need your approval, and what you never share with owners or residents.
3. Test with low-risk questions first: "List open work orders at [property] older than 7 days and who they're waiting on."
4. Then try actions: "Create a work order for a leak under the kitchen sink at [unit], plumbing, urgent, assign to our preferred plumber." Read the summary it shows before it saves anything.
5. For owner questions, ask: "Summarise what's happened at [property] this month in 3 plain sentences I can tell the owner." Check it against the record before you say it.
6. Review a week of AI-created work orders and tighten your rules where it guessed.

## Safety checks (share these with the user)

- Check names, dates, numbers and any claim against your own source material before you use the answer. AI can misread or invent details.
- Say clearly which parts need a person to review or approve before anything is sent, paid, posted or filed.
