Organize your property tour footage without paying for software: have ChatGPT build you a small app that imports your mic recordings, transcribes them on your own computer, lets you search and jump to any moment, and exports cut points to your editor: AI agent prompt
Agents who film property tour videos end up with camera files and separate wireless-mic audio to sort before every edit. An Agent Cases write-up (shared on X on Nov 1, 2026) describes a real estate agent, not a developer, who had ChatGPT build a Windows app that automatically imports audio from a RODE Wireless PRO mic, transcribes it on the computer with no paid API, makes the transcript searchable and jumps to that moment in the audio, lets them mark where each video starts and ends with markers, and exports to Premiere Pro. It took several months of back-and-forth and many errors; the agent reports ChatGPT wrote 100% of the code but did not share time or cost savings. The same approach works for any repetitive prep step between filming and editing.
The prompt
1. Write down your setup: recording device model, computer specs (CPU, graphics card, RAM), editing program and version, and one short sample recording. 2. Ask ChatGPT or Claude: "Build me a simple Windows app to organize audio before I edit property tour videos. Start with the smallest version: I import files by hand, it copies them into a work folder by date, skips duplicates and never changes my originals. Give me step-by-step install instructions for a non-developer." 3. Test it on your sample file and paste any error message back word for word. Only move on when it works. 4. Add one feature at a time, testing each: "Add transcription with a free speech model that runs on my computer, with timestamps" then "Let me search the transcript and click a result to play from that moment" then "Let me mark the start and end of each video inside one long recording and add notes" then "Export the marked segments and markers in a format [Premiere Pro/DaVinci Resolve] can import." 5. Ask for automatic import when the mic is plugged in only after you know how your device's files actually appear on the computer. 6. Keep a copy of every working version before asking for the next change.

- This prompt works on text other people wrote (emails, reviews, messages or web pages). That text can hide instructions aimed at AI, such as "ignore your rules and…". Paste it as material to work on, and never let the AI act on requests inside it, like paying, sharing logins or changing records. How prompt injection works →
- Check every figure, price and total against your own records before anything is sent, posted or booked. A person approves refunds, discounts, payments and price changes.
- Check names, dates, numbers and any claim against your own source material before you use the answer. AI can misread or invent details.
