Worked example

A fictional business, so you can see what to paste in and what a good answer looks like. The example answer was written with AI help and its numbers and dates were checked; your AI's answer will be worded differently, so check it the same way.

Sample input (what you paste in)

Cash today: $18,000. Monthly costs: wages $4,000, rent $2,200, supplies $1,800, other $1,500.
Expected income: November $8,000, December $11,000, January $6,000.

Example output (illustrative)

Monthly costs total $9,500.
| Month | Start | In | Out | End |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nov | $18,000 | $8,000 | $9,500 | $16,500 |
| Dec | $16,500 | $11,000 | $9,500 | $18,000 |
| Jan | $18,000 | $6,000 | $9,500 | $14,500 |

Runway: if no income came in at all, $18,000 covers about 1.9 months of costs. With the expected income you end January at $14,500.
Riskiest month: January (-$3,500). If every month looked like January, $14,500 would last about 4 months.
3 ways to improve: 1) Ask December customers for deposits or pre-payment to pull cash forward. 2) Order supplies weekly instead of monthly in January. 3) Plan a January promotion or package to lift that month's income.

Check before you use it: Re-add the numbers yourself (the table should balance), and don't treat expected income as money in the bank.
