The prompt
Here is my FAQ/help doc: [paste]. Draft a friendly reply to this customer message using ONLY facts from the doc. If the answer isn't there, say you'll escalate. Keep it under 120 words. Customer message: [paste]
Worked example
A fictional business, so you can see what to paste in and what a good answer looks like. The example answer was written with AI help and its numbers and dates were checked; your AI's answer will be worded differently, so check it the same way.
Sample input (what you paste in)
FAQ (Juniper Dog Grooming): Full groom $65-$95 by size. Nail trim $15, walk-in Tue/Thu 10-2. We need proof of rabies vaccination. Cancel 24h ahead or $20 fee. Customer: "Hi, can I bring my lab in for just nails on Wednesday? Does he need anything?"
Example output (illustrative)
Hi! Thanks for asking. Nail trims are $15 and we do them as walk-ins on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10 and 2, so Wednesday won't work for a walk-in, but Thursday would. Please bring proof of your lab's rabies vaccination. If you'd rather book a set time on another day, just reply and I'll check with the team. See you soon!
Check before you use it: Every fact in the reply must appear in your FAQ. Here it correctly declined Wednesday instead of inventing an opening.

- This prompt works on text other people wrote (emails, reviews, messages or web pages). That text can hide instructions aimed at AI, such as "ignore your rules and…". Paste it as material to work on, and never let the AI act on requests inside it, like paying, sharing logins or changing records. How prompt injection works →
- Remove names, contact details, account numbers and other personal data the task doesn't need before you paste, and check your AI tool's data and training settings.
- Read and edit the draft before it reaches a customer or goes public. If you later automate this prompt, start with "draft and notify me", not "send automatically".
- Check names, dates, numbers and any claim against your own source material before you use the answer. AI can misread or invent details.
