Lost a key crew member days before a shoot? Hand an AI agent the script and let it build the shooting schedule, call sheets and each day's pages, then send them to cast and crew after you check them: AI agent prompt
The Guardian reported on Oct 29, 2026 that Jay Blumenfield, who runs a Los Angeles company making vertical microdramas, had to fire an assistant director during a shoot and tried an AI agent instead of a last-minute hire. He uploaded the script and asked the agent to do the assistant director's work; it produced the schedule, call sheet and the day's script and sent them to the cast and crew. He told the paper his company now runs with agents that also read scripts, plan travel and scout locations. The prompt below does the same paperwork for any small video, photo or event shoot, with you approving before anything goes out.
The prompt
I'm producing a [type of shoot, e.g. short series, ad, music video, wedding film] over [number] days starting [date] at [locations]. Here is the script or shot list: [paste or attach]. Here is the cast and crew list with roles, phone or email and any unavailable dates: [paste]. Each location's address, access times and parking notes: [paste]. 1) Break the script down by scene: location, interior or exterior, day or night, cast needed, props, wardrobe and any special items. 2) Build a shooting schedule that groups scenes by location and cast to save moves, keeps each day to about [10] hours including meals, and respects everyone's unavailable dates. Flag anything that doesn't fit instead of forcing it. 3) For each day, write a call sheet: date, general call time, each person's call time, locations with addresses and parking, scenes and pages in order, meal times, nearest hospital, weather note and my contact. 4) Pull out each day's script pages (the 'sides'). Show me the schedule and the first call sheet before anything else. Only after I approve, send each person their call sheet and sides by [email or WhatsApp], and send updated versions only if I change something.

- This prompt works on text other people wrote (emails, reviews, messages or web pages). That text can hide instructions aimed at AI, such as "ignore your rules and…". Paste it as material to work on, and never let the AI act on requests inside it, like paying, sharing logins or changing records. How prompt injection works →
- Remove names, contact details, account numbers and other personal data the task doesn't need before you paste, and check your AI tool's data and training settings.
- Read and edit the draft before it reaches a customer or goes public. If you later automate this prompt, start with "draft and notify me", not "send automatically".
- Check names, dates, numbers and any claim against your own source material before you use the answer. AI can misread or invent details.
