Stop overcharging customers in poorer countries: have an AI agent propose a fair price for your app or subscription in every App Store country, show you the full table, and change nothing until you approve it: AI agent prompt
On Oct 30, 2026 iOS developer Nick Vasilev shared an open-source Claude Code skill, territory-pricing, after pointing out that Apple's default pricing converts your US price at exchange rates and ignores purchasing power, which overprices apps in countries like Brazil or India. The skill covers about 175 App Store storefronts: you pick a strategy (income bands, the Big Mac index, purchasing power parity, simple tiers or Apple's own conversion), it builds a price proposal table using only the price points Apple allows, and it writes to App Store Connect only after you say yes to that exact table, then reads the prices back to confirm. It never changes which countries you sell in. The prompt below gets the same plan for any app, course or subscription you sell in many countries.
The prompt
Help me set fair prices for my [app / subscription / digital product] in each country I sell in. My base price is [price] in [base country]. I sell through [App Store, Google Play, Stripe, Paddle, other] in these countries: [list, or 'all']. My current sales by country, if I have them: [paste]. 1) Explain in plain words 3 pricing strategies (straight exchange rate, purchasing power parity, income tiers) and recommend one for my product, with the trade-offs. 2) Build a table: country, current price, proposed price in local currency, and the % change. Round to prices that look normal locally and, if my store only allows fixed price points, mark the ones I must check as [CHECK]. 3) Keep products in the same family consistent (monthly cheaper per month than yearly, lifetime above yearly) and flag any country where that breaks. 4) Flag countries where a much lower price could invite resellers or abuse, and suggest a floor. 5) Give me a step-by-step plan to apply it in my store, with a start date, and a list of what to check after the change. Do not change anything in my store yourself; give me the table to approve first.

Before you use it: what to check
Already built into this prompt
- Do not change anything in my store yourself; give me the table to approve first.
Check yourself
- Check every figure, price and total against your own records before anything is sent, posted or booked. A person approves refunds, discounts, payments and price changes.
- Remove names, contact details, account numbers and other personal data the task doesn't need before you paste, and check your AI tool's data and training settings.
- Check names, dates, numbers and any claim against your own source material before you use the answer. AI can misread or invent details.
