Get coaching feedback on a lesson you just taught, from a recording or your own notes, and pick one thing to try next time
Most teachers, tutors and trainers almost never get someone to watch their class and give useful feedback, so habits that lose students' attention can go unnoticed for years. An AI coach can review a lesson recording, transcript or the teacher's own reflection and give specific, practical feedback on engagement, questioning and clarity, with one change to try in the next lesson. The World Bank reported on Oct 21, 2026 that in Ethiopia it piloted AI-Coach with the government and close to 350 English and math teachers, who record their lessons and get feedback on student engagement, questioning techniques and instructional quality through a simple phone app that works with patchy internet; teachers found the feedback timely, tailored and practical.
I teach [subject] to [age group or level] at [school, tutoring business or workplace]. Today's lesson goal was: [what students should be able to do]. Here is the transcript or my notes from the lesson: [paste transcript, recording summary or reflection]. 1) Summarize what happened in the lesson in 5 bullet points. 2) Rate three areas from 1 to 5, with a quote or moment from the lesson as evidence: student engagement, quality of my questions (open vs yes/no, wait time, who got to answer), and clarity of explanations. 3) Name the two things that went best and why. 4) Pick the one change most likely to help next time and describe exactly how to try it, with an example question or activity. 5) Give me a short checklist to use during my next lesson. Base everything only on the transcript or notes I gave you; don't guess about anything you can't see in them.
Write a personal email to every student from their grades: a nudge for those falling behind, praise for those doing well
A short personal note from a teacher can bring a struggling student back or keep a strong one motivated, but writing dozens of them by hand each week rarely happens. An AI assistant can read your gradebook export, sort students into groups (falling behind, missing work, improving, excelling) and draft a personal, encouraging email for each one that mentions their actual scores and one clear next step, which you review before sending. Hawkes Learning added an AI-powered Message Assistant to its Hawkes Teach instructor platform on Oct 21, 2026 that drafts individualized student emails from each student's scores, letting the instructor choose tone and intent and edit before sending.
Help me write personal emails to my students based on their grades. Course: [name, level]. My name and how I sign off: [e.g. Ms. Lee]. Tone: [warm / encouraging / direct]. Gradebook: [paste or upload an export with student first name, assignment scores, missing work, attendance; you can remove last names and IDs first]. Do this: 1) Sort students into groups: needs help now (failing or 2+ missing assignments), slipping (scores dropping), steady, improving, excelling. Show me the list first. 2) For each student, draft a short email (under 120 words) that mentions one or two real facts from their scores, says something genuinely positive, gives one specific next step (e.g. submit Lesson 4 by Friday, come to office hours Tuesday 3 pm, try the practice set), and offers help. 3) Don't compare students to each other, don't mention other students' grades, and don't guess reasons for low scores. 4) Put everything in a table: student, group, subject line, email text, so I can review, edit and send each one myself.
