See your website like a first-time visitor: have a fresh AI session score what's clear, confusing or fake-looking in the first 10, 30 and 60 seconds: AI agent prompt
If you built or wrote your own site (or an AI built it for you), you can't see it the way a stranger does. A fresh AI chat with no memory of your project can act like a first-time visitor, judge only what it has seen so far, and tell you where it would leave, what looks fake and which button to click next, on desktop and on phone, then suggest a few precise fixes with replacement copy. Builder kloss shared this prompt on X on Oct 20, 2026, warning that a coding agent is "the shittiest 1st time visitor" because it's testing the site it just built itself, and recommending a fresh session that scores clarity, trust and next step.
MarketingWebsite first impressionbeginnerWho this is for
Owners who want honest, outside-eyes feedback on their website.
Not for
Sites behind a login, or pages you can't share.
What you need
Your website URL (an AI that can browse) or screenshots of desktop and phone views.
The prompt
Open [website URL] as a first-time visitor who knows nothing about this business. Don't use any past chats, memory or code. Scroll slowly, close popups, and check it at desktop width and on a phone-size screen (or use the screenshots I paste: [paste]). Judge only what you've seen so far: First screen (about 10 seconds): What is this, who is it for, and what could it be mistaken for? After 3 screens (about 30 seconds): What would make you leave? After 6 screens (about 60 seconds): Explain it in one sentence. What's confusing? Full page: What looks fake or untrustworthy? Where did your interest drop? Do the buttons and offers compete with each other? Phone: What's cramped, cut off or hard to tap? Then score Clarity, Trust and Next step from 1-10, harshly (under 9 means not ready). Name the one idea you'd remember tomorrow. Finally, list up to 5 fixes, highest impact first, each with the exact replacement text. Don't invent facts, prices or numbers about my business.
Worked example
A fictional business, so you can see what to paste in and what a good answer looks like. The example answer was written with AI help and its numbers and dates were checked; your AI's answer will be worded differently, so check it the same way.
Sample input (what you paste in)
Website: a fictional plumber's homepage, harbourplumbing.example (screenshots pasted).
Example output (illustrative)
First 10 seconds: It's a plumbing company, but I can't tell which area it serves. Could be mistaken for a supply store because the hero shows a parts catalogue. After 30 seconds: I'd leave because the phone number is at the bottom only. In one sentence: A plumber somewhere offering repairs and installs. Looks untrustworthy: stock photo of a smiling team; reviews have no names or dates. On a phone: the "Book now" button is hidden behind the chat bubble. Top 3 fixes: 1) Put "Emergency plumber in [city]" and a tap-to-call number in the first screen. 2) Replace the stock photo with your own van or team. 3) Move the chat bubble so it doesn't cover "Book now".
Check before you use it: Ask a real customer to check one or two of the AI's points; fresh-session feedback is a guide, not a verdict.
