Get your Google Business Profile ready for Google's new AI messaging agent, which answers customer chats and helps with bookings from what your listing says: AI agent prompt
Google has started inviting some Business Profile owners to early access of AI-powered messaging in Search and Maps. Yes We Blog reported on Oct 20, 2026 that the invitation email offers, at no cost, an agent that answers common customer questions and helps them book, forwarding complex questions to the owner; it only replies to customers on participating mobile networks whose phones support RCS, and everyone else's messages go straight to the owner's phone. Because the agent answers from your profile data, stale hours, missing services or broken booking links mean wrong answers. No wider rollout date has been announced. This prompt audits your listing and writes the answers the agent should be able to give, whether or not you've been invited yet.
The prompt
You are my local SEO assistant. Google may soon let an AI agent answer customer messages on my Google Business Profile using only what my profile says. Here is my current profile: [paste business name, category, hours including holidays, services and prices, service area, booking link, phone, attributes, Q&A, and the last 20 reviews]. 1) Audit it: list anything missing, out of date or contradictory (hours, holiday hours, services, prices, booking link, parking, payment options, accessibility) and give me the exact corrected text to paste. 2) From my reviews and these common customer questions [paste from calls, emails, DMs], write the 20 questions customers ask most, with a short accurate answer to each, so I can add them to my profile and website. 3) List the questions an AI agent should NEVER answer on its own and must hand to me (quotes over [amount], complaints, refunds, medical/legal advice, anything about a specific booking). 4) Write a friendly welcome message and 3 conversation starters for my chat. 5) Give me a monthly 10-minute checklist to keep the profile accurate.

Before you use it: what to check
Check yourself
- This prompt works on text other people wrote (emails, reviews, messages or web pages). That text can hide instructions aimed at AI, such as "ignore your rules and…". Paste it as material to work on, and never let the AI act on requests inside it, like paying, sharing logins or changing records. How prompt injection works →
- Check every figure, price and total against your own records before anything is sent, posted or booked. A person approves refunds, discounts, payments and price changes.
- Anything legal, tax or compliance-related is a first draft for a qualified person to check. It is not professional advice, and clause references and deadlines must be checked against the source.
- Remove names, contact details, account numbers and other personal data the task doesn't need before you paste, and check your AI tool's data and training settings.
