Fix your slowest day: have an AI agent find when your restaurant or cafe sales dip, then prepare a targeted offer, push message and loyalty boost for you to approve before anything goes live: AI agent prompt

Most restaurant owners know roughly which days are quiet but rarely have time to turn that into a promotion. In October 2026 Per Diem expanded Olivia, the AI assistant in its restaurant ordering dashboard, with about 50 supported or planned actions across marketing, loyalty, menus and store settings: a coffee shop owner can ask 'When is my slowest day of the week?', and Olivia checks the ordering data and helps turn the answer into a campaign with an offer and a push notification. Suggested starters include 'Drive lunch orders' and 'Slow right now, fix it', and every proposed change is shown for approval before it goes live. The prompt below runs the same analysis and campaign plan with any AI assistant and an export from your point-of-sale system.

The prompt

Help me find my slowest times and plan promotions to fill them. My business: [restaurant, cafe or bakery, location, opening hours, average order value]. I've attached [a point-of-sale export of orders for the last 8-12 weeks: date, time, items, total, channel (in-store, pickup, delivery)]. 1) Show sales and order counts by day of week and by hour, and name the 3 weakest time slots compared with my average. 2) Suggest likely reasons from the data (e.g. missing lunch trade, weak weekday mornings, low pickup orders) and what else I should check (weather, local events, staffing). 3) For each weak slot, propose one promotion I can afford: the offer, who it targets (new, lapsed or regular customers), the channel (push notification, email, in-store sign, loyalty points), and the cost if 30 extra orders redeem it. 4) Write the push notification, a short social post and the in-store sign for each. 5) Tell me how to measure it over 4 weeks against the same slot before the offer. Keep margins in mind using my food cost of [X%], and don't set anything live; I'll approve each campaign.
