Have an AI assistant keep watch on your money after you spend it: find the subscriptions you're still paying for and track prices on trips you've already booked: AI agent prompt
On Oct 27, 2026 Ant Group began rolling out LingGuang 2.0 in China, an AI assistant that keeps working on tasks after the chat ends and notifies people when something changes, only with their explicit authorization. Ant's own examples include checking Alipay spending records for recurring subscriptions, monitoring flight and hotel prices after a booking, and tracking family dates and vehicle inspections. Ant says users can review, change or revoke each authorization, and that the app's login keys are held separately from the agent. The prompt below sets up the same watch with any AI assistant that can run scheduled tasks, or as a monthly check you run yourself.
The prompt
Help me keep an eye on my money after I've spent it. Here are my last [3] months of [bank or card statements, PayPal, Apple or Google subscriptions]: [paste or attach]. 1) List every payment that repeats (monthly, yearly, free trials that turned paid) with the merchant, amount, how often, the date it next renews and the total per year. Flag anything I seem not to use, any price that went up, and any two services that do the same thing. 2) For each one I mark to cancel, tell me exactly where to cancel it and the date I must do it by to avoid the next charge. 3) Here are trips I've already booked: [flights, hotels, car rental with dates, prices and whether they can be changed or refunded]. Check the current price for the same booking [every few days, or now] and tell me only if it has dropped by more than [amount], and what changing it would cost. 4) Also remind me about these dates: [renewals, car inspection, family birthdays]. Never cancel, rebook or pay for anything yourself; tell me and I'll decide.

Before you use it: what to check
Already built into this prompt
- Never cancel, rebook or pay for anything yourself; tell me and I'll decide.
- Flag anything I seem not to use, any price that went up, and any two services that do the same thing.
Check yourself
- Check every figure, price and total against your own records before anything is sent, posted or booked. A person approves refunds, discounts, payments and price changes.
- Remove names, contact details, account numbers and other personal data the task doesn't need before you paste, and check your AI tool's data and training settings.
- Check names, dates, numbers and any claim against your own source material before you use the answer. AI can misread or invent details.
