Plan door hanger walks around the customers you already have: have an AI group nearby houses into walkable loops, print a list for each, track which loop new customers come from, and list local HOAs to pitch: AI agent prompt
Door hangers work best on the streets around existing customers, but planning which houses to hit and tracking results is the part owners skip. AI Business Plays writes up a self-reported X post by a small lawn care business owner (@HomesteadHero). In one week his Grok Bot team mapped 272 houses into 10 door hanger loops (he dropped 200 fliers that Sunday), built a list of 21 HOAs to pitch for fall cleanups and helped land 5 new lawn clients. He doesn't say how many of the 5 came from the door hangers, and it is self-reported. Check local and HOA rules on fliers before you drop them. The same idea works for any local service, including a real estate agent farming a neighbourhood.
The prompt
I run a [type of local business] in [town]. Here are my current customers' streets [list or paste addresses]. 1) Pick about [250] nearby houses, starting with the streets closest to my existing customers, and group them into walking loops of [20 to 30] houses that I can do in one go. 2) For each loop give me a printable list in walking order with a start point and an estimate of how long it takes on foot. 3) Write a short door hanger message for [offer, e.g. fall cleanup] that mentions I already work on their street, with a QR code or code word per loop so I know which loop a call came from. 4) Make a tracking table: loop, date dropped, calls or messages, new customers. 5) List the HOAs within [5] miles with a public contact for each and a 3-sentence pitch for [seasonal service]. Check and tell me any local or HOA rules on door hangers you find.

- Read and edit the draft before it reaches a customer or goes public. If you later automate this prompt, start with "draft and notify me", not "send automatically".
- Check names, dates, numbers and any claim against your own source material before you use the answer. AI can misread or invent details.
