Keep your website honest about the tools and prices you mention: have an AI routine check every claim on your site against the vendors' own pages each quarter and list what's out of date, with the page that proves it: AI agent prompt

Software and service providers change prices and features all the time, so comparison posts, resource pages and 'tools I use' pages quietly go stale. In an Oct 30, 2026 post on her actual AI setup, consultant Cait Potter lists a quarterly claims review among the routines that run in her business: it checks the facts on her site against the vendors' own sites and tells her what's out of date. Her rules for every routine are 'read freely, write carefully': AI can create or update drafts but publishing stays a click she makes, and any price or feature in a draft has to cite where it was found, or it's left out. The same check works for a real estate or small business site that quotes lender rates, software prices, fees or partner offers.

The prompt

1. List the pages on your site that mention someone else's prices, features, fees, rates or offers (or paste them in).
2. Ask your AI: "Pull out every factual claim about another company on these pages: the claim, the page it's on, and the company. Put it in a table."
3. Then: "For each claim, check the company's own website (pricing page, feature page, terms) and mark it CURRENT, CHANGED or CAN'T VERIFY. For CHANGED, give the new fact and the exact URL that shows it. Don't use review sites or other blogs as proof. Never guess; if you can't find it, say CAN'T VERIFY."
4. Ask for suggested replacement wording for each CHANGED claim, as a draft only. You review and publish the edits yourself.
5. Save the table and repeat every quarter (or turn it into a scheduled routine that sends you the table to review).
