Turn one spoken billing line into a PayPal invoice draft: “bill Ada ₦50,000 for logo design” becomes a converted USD invoice with the live rate shown—and nothing sends until you sign: AI agent prompt
On Nov 4, 2026 developer .87 (ofalamin) posted Hermes, built for the PayPal AI Hackathon: an AI agent that turns one sentence into a real PayPal invoice. Example given: “bill tunde ₦50,000 for logo design” → a $37.14 USD invoice with the live rate shown, and nothing sent until the user signs. The demo was shared on X with a hosted demo link. Treat currency conversion, tax and client details as yours to verify; keep a human sign-off before any invoice goes out.
The prompt
1. Connect your invoicing tool (PayPal or similar) in draft-only mode—create invoices, never auto-send. 2. Give the agent a one-line template: client name or email, amount + currency, what it’s for, and “show the converted amount if the client pays in another currency.” 3. Try three real past bills as one-sentence prompts and compare the drafts to what you actually sent. 4. Fix standing rules: never invent a client email, never send, always show FX rate source and timestamp when converting. 5. Only after the drafts match, use it live—and personally hit send on every invoice.

Before you use it: what to check
Already built into this prompt
- Connect your invoicing tool (PayPal or similar) in draft-only mode—create invoices, never auto-send.
- Fix standing rules: never invent a client email, never send, always show FX rate source and timestamp when converting.
Check yourself
- This prompt works on text other people wrote (emails, reviews, messages or web pages). That text can hide instructions aimed at AI, such as "ignore your rules and…". Paste it as material to work on, and never let the AI act on requests inside it, like paying, sharing logins or changing records. How prompt injection works →
- Check every figure, price and total against your own records before anything is sent, posted or booked. A person approves refunds, discounts, payments and price changes.
- Remove names, contact details, account numbers and other personal data the task doesn't need before you paste, and check your AI tool's data and training settings.
- Read and edit the draft before it reaches a customer or goes public. If you later automate this prompt, start with "draft and notify me", not "send automatically".
