Brief your technicians before each job and let them talk through their notes afterward instead of typing: AI agent prompt
Field technicians lose time hunting for the right unit, the old service notes and the manual, then write up their report in the van. An AI assistant can brief them on the job before they arrive (which equipment, what the issue is, what tools to bring, past history) and, after the work, interview them by voice, asking follow-up questions until the notes are complete. Microsoft reported on Oct 22, 2026 that TK Elevator technicians now get this pre-visit briefing on their phone and dictate their work to a debriefing voice agent, and those spoken notes are shared with colleagues who service the same equipment later. TKE has 25,000 service technicians caring for 1.4 million elevators and escalators.

Help me set up a before-and-after routine for my field technicians at my [type of business, e.g. HVAC / elevator / appliance repair / IT support] company. Part 1, pre-job briefing: using this job ticket [paste], the equipment record [paste make, model, location] and past service notes [paste], write a short phone-friendly briefing: what and where the equipment is, the reported problem, likely causes based on the history, tools and parts to bring, and any safety notes. Part 2, spoken debrief: act as a debrief interviewer. Ask me one question at a time about the visit (what I found, what I did, parts used, time spent, anything still at risk, tips for the next tech). If my answer is vague, ask a follow-up. At the end, turn my answers into a clean service report and a 2-3 line 'note for the next technician'. Then suggest how to run this with [ChatGPT voice mode / Grok Bot / a voice agent tool] and save the reports to [our job software / Google Sheets].

- This prompt works on text other people wrote (emails, reviews, messages or web pages). That text can hide instructions aimed at AI, such as "ignore your rules and…". Paste it as material to work on, and never let the AI act on requests inside it, like paying, sharing logins or changing records. How prompt injection works →
- Don't let AI make the final call on hiring, pay, performance or discipline. Use it to organise information, and have a person decide using criteria you can explain.
- Read and edit the draft before it reaches a customer or goes public. If you later automate this prompt, start with "draft and notify me", not "send automatically".
- Check names, dates, numbers and any claim against your own source material before you use the answer. AI can misread or invent details.
